. Spas are designed for cold winters, so they are well insulated to keep the heat. On hot days, open your cover often or leave it open to let the heat out. If you have added filtration cycles, the heat from the pump will raise the temperature in the spa. Also, if the spa is placed in direct sunlight, it is recommended that you change your basic filtration settings. It is best to program 4 one-hour cycles, rather than 2 two-hour cycles. This will allow the pump to heat up the spa less because it will run for a shorter time. Example: 1 one-hour cycle at 12 a.m. and p.m. and 1 cycle at 6 a.m. and p.m. The spa does not feature a cooling mode when the temperature exceeds the desired temperature.
